Trisha Shetty

Trisha Shetty is a social activist, lawyer and speaker based out of Mumbai, India. She started SheSays, a globally recognised non-profit working for gender equality through youth and civic-society engagement. Her organisation works on Public Safety, Security, Quality Education, Good Health and Well-being, Digital Literacy, Sanitation, Public Policy and Advocacy through a gender-sensitive lens and has impacted over 160,000 young people in a little over 2 years.

For her work, she has been recognised by President Obama and President Emmanuel Macron as a global civic leader, listed by Forbes 30 under 30 as a Social Entrepreneur and Pioneer Woman, named a UN Young Leaders for the Sustainable Development Goals and is the Queen’s Young Leader awardee. She has mentored youth in Singapore’s United World College of South East Asia to develop solutions for the SDGs as well as served as a mentor for youth in the Arab region through the UNDP Youth Leadership Programme held in Kuwait and THIMUN in Qatar. In 2017, she delivered the keynote address at the ECOSOC Youth Forum addressing the pandemic public problem of gender based violence and discrimination and need for women and youth to have equal representation beyond tokenism.
