Youth Mobility – Scouting Across Borders

Jun 1, 2018

Anyone with an interest in Scout Mobility, and how it can be facilitated and promoted. Participation from those with some experience from their own National Organisation, would allow participants to recognise differences in culture/organisation. Knowledge of own Organisation, particularly professional staff support would also be helpful.

Support for leaders as they move countries… Why, Who, How… Let’s explore “crossing the borders” together !! In this modern world, people move from opportunity to opportunity across cities, regions and national borders. The global Scout community can provide a safety net for Volunteers in Scouting coming to a strange new place. This session will explore how “leaders” in each National Scout Organisation can help to facilitate the assimilation of volunteers from brother/sister organisations across Europe and the world. This session is for those who know EraScouting and EraGuiding, are enthusiastic / skeptical about it and for those who have never heard of it, but who are curious.
